Arriving at the Museum Upon arrival at the museum, please enter through the Tyco Visitors Center located at 14 Hancock Street. The Tyco Visitors Center is the site of the admission desk, orientation video, The Museum Shop, and the restrooms. Once you have purchased your tickets, you can head into the media room to view the orientation video. The orientation video is an 8-minute general overview video that takes you through the four centuries of history at Strawbery Banke Museum. Before heading out on the museum grounds, make sure to grab a copy of the Visitor's Guide, which will provide a site map as well as additional information about the historic buildings and grounds. The Visitors Guide will also give you information about the special activities and tours available for the day. Admission General admission tickets are good for two consecutive days. Please feel free to come and go from the museum over the two days of your ticket to best suit your schedule and interests. Visit Time Generally, a visit of 1.5 - 2 hours is recommended in order to visit the historic buildings, enjoy the interactive exhibits, and take in the beautiful gardens. Visitors can easily spend the day going through the exhibits and grounds in-depth as well. Visitors are encouraged to go through the museum at their own pace and refer to the Visitors Guide to choose the exhibits and areas of the museum that are of greatest interest to them. The museum’s friendly staff is always happy to suggest exhibits as well. During the months that schools are in session, the museum is generally busier in the morning hours when school groups are visiting. Afternoons are generally an excellent time to visit the museum if you are looking to avoid crowds. Museum Accessibility Strawbery Banke Museum strives to make its grounds, exhibits, and programs accessible to everyone, wherever possible, with understandable limitations given the historic nature of the buildings and grounds. For more information about the accessibility of the museum, please view our Museum Accessibility Brochure or contact Visitor Services at 603-433-1110. For Your Comfort The weather in NH is ever-changing. Please check the weather for the day of your visit and plan accordingly. The museum is close to the waterfront and the sea breeze can lower the temperature by 5 – 10 degrees from inland temperatures. The historic houses are not heated or cooled and temperatures inside the houses are generally consistent with the temperatures in the outdoors. Comfortable walking shoes are also encouraged as the exhibits are spaced throughout the 10-acre site over varied terrain. For the Comfort and Safety of All Museum Visitors:
