Come enjoy four centuries of traditional home and farm harvest festivities and experience a traditional New England country fair like no other!
- Live demonstrations of a wide variety of historic crafts, trades, and home activities including:
- Basket making, 18th century hearth cooking, Knitting, Quilting, Pottery, Weaving, Rug hooking, Oval box making, Coopering, Decoy carving, Shingle making....& more.
- Demonstrations on textile crafts and fiber arts and feature alpaca fiber preparation and spinning as well as wool sorting, dyeing, and spinning. Many pieces of textile arts from the museum’s collection will also be on display.
- Farm animals and livestock demonstrations throughout the day including:
- Sheep dog demonstrations, Hand shearing of sheep, Historic breeds of farm animals, Alpacas, Oxen, Pigs...& more.
- Master gardeners and horticulture experts will be on hand demonstrating techniques for canning and food preservation as well as period flower arranging.
- Garden Programs in the museum’s newly restored Victory Garden
- Family programs throughout the day on the Victorian games lawn
- Master Gardener run family activities in the Children's Garden
- Period garden crafts with the museum’s new garden role-player
- Historic Garden and Landscape Tours throughout the day
- Historic homes at Strawbery Banke will also be in bloom and decorated with period harvest arrangements
Two Incredible Festivals in One - Pay Just One Admission Price - Back by popular demand, the Prescott Park Chili Cook-Off will again be held in conjunction with Strawbery Banke Museum's New Hampshire Fall Festival. The Chili Cook-Off presents more than a dozen restaurants from the Seacoast and beyond who serve up their best chili in decorated booths for attendees to sample. Come and enjoy the generous samplings restaurants offer and experience one of the best Chili Cook-Offs around! The Chili Festival will be also offering the opportunity to compliment your chili tasting with one of Redhook's fine crafted and refreshing beers! Local Artisan Fair - A wide variety of talented local craftspeople and artisans will be featured at the fall festival as well and will be displaying and selling their works.
Great Food - In addition to the Chili Cook-Off, local food vendors will also be on hand to provide great food and drink throughout the day for this “don’t miss” fall event.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for youths (12 and under). Strawbery Banke Museum and Prescott Park Arts Festival members are FREE.
