Winter Celebrations Interactive Tour
December 10, 11 & 12, 2024
Tours occur: 9-11 AM, 10 AM-12 PM, 12-2 PM, 1-3 PM
This hands-on tour walks through the history of winter holidays in New England. Participants create a take-home ornament while learning about New Year's Day celebrations in early America, help decorate a Christmas tree in Victorian fashion, discover traditions brought to America by immigrants at the turn of the century, and hear about the challenges of celebrating Christmas during World War II.
This tour is designed for families with children ages 6-12. An adult must accompany children under age 8.
$15.00 for the first student, 10% off each additional student. 10 students per tour. Different families that wish to be in the same group should email Maddie Beihl, Camp Coordinator, via mbeihl@sbmuseum.org.
