Admission

Strawbery Banke Museum’s historic houses are open seasonally from April 27, 2024, through October 27, 2024, as well as for special events and programs throughout the year. General Museum Admission tickets are available for purchase online or in-person at the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center, 14 Hancock Street, Portsmouth, and are valid for two consecutive days.

  • Senior (65+)/Student: $22.00

  • Child (ages 5 - 17): $12.00

  • Child (under 5): Free

  • Family (2 Adults & Children ages 17 and under): $60.00

  • Strawbery Banke is a Blue Star Museum, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America. To honor and thank those currently serving in the United States Military, including the National Guard and Reserve, Strawbery Banke provides free general museum admission to those with a valid ID and for up to 5 immediate family members. Free tickets for US Military and Families are only available in-person. Please inform the staff at the Admissions Desk in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center upon your arrival that you qualify and be prepared to show a valid ID.

  • Individual United States veterans receive one free general museum admission ticket. Free tickets for US Veterans are only available in-person. Please inform the staff at the Admissions Desk in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center upon your arrival that you qualify and be prepared to show a valid ID.

  • Through Museums for All, Strawbery Banke provides free general museum admission to those with a SNAP EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer) card and for up to 3 immediate family members. Free tickets for EBT card holders are only available in-person. Please inform the staff at the Admissions Desk in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center upon your arrival that you qualify and be prepared to show a valid EBT card.

  • Many local libraries participate in Strawbery Banke Museum’s Library Membership program, offering fre general museum (and other perks) to their patrons. Library patrons with a valid pass do not need to reserve tickets in advance on the Museum's website and should contact their library to inquire about pass availability. Patrons should bring a copy of the library pass and present it at the door to obtain complimentary admission.

Discounted Admission

  • Parties of 10 or more individuals qualify to receive discounted admission tickets. Group rates for museum admission are $15 per adult and $8 per child (ages 5–17). Click here for more information and to book a group.

Ice Skating

Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond, the outdoor ice skating rink at Strawbery Banke Museum operates from late November/early December through February, weather permitting. Public skating sessions occurs in 2-hour time blocks. Click here to learn more.
